Motel Rocks is easily the coolest brand I know, so it follows that their press day was pretty trendy too. I swung by their Central London based office last week and was shown the funky SS15 collection.
After stroking the fluffy skirts and eyeing up the printed separates I had a temporary tattoo applied by Seekers of the Sun munched on popcorn and drank way too much (full fat) coke. Manicures were also being done by the expert hands of Betties and Baldwins.
Here’s a sneak peak at what to expect from their SS15 collection, and some behind-the-scenes snaps from the press day itself.
This collection takes inspiration from the 70s and combines it with contemporary street-style. The focus is on a sporty vibe with high-tech textures, clean lines and a minimal colour palette of pastel hues and chalky shades of blue, lilac and grey.
Motel is well known for its prints and their iconic designs have achieved cult status as each print is hand-designed in-house and screen-printed onto fabrics ensuring complete exclusivity.
This Summer the collection includes the new floral ‘Dried Roses’ print – a moody twist on folk florals and a new ‘Esher’ print is introduced to the range in a rich berry colour palette.
The final pieces in the collection are a selection of slinky LBDs and a capsule collection of fringe detail dresses and separates, Motel is famed for creating unique and party-ready fashion, and next year will be no different.
