Power dressing can be defined as “the practice of dressing in a style intended to show that one holds an important position in business, politics, etc.”

A recent exhibition at the London Design Museum called Women Fashion Power saw famous faces such as Diana Princess of Wales, Naomi Campbell and Margaret Thatcher celebrated as masters of power dressing.

Model Files: Phoebe x LFW 2015

Having signed with Mahogany Model Management about a year ago, I’m a relative newbie when it comes to professional catwalk modelling, so when I was offered the opportunity to walk in London Fashion Week I grabbed it with both hands.

Fashion’s Finest held two days of off-schedule shows at the Grand Connaught Rooms during London Fashion Week this year and I was privileged enough to walk in shows on both days. With make-up by the Academy of Freelance Makeup and hair by Electric Hairdressing London, all the other models and I had to do was show up and walk… easier said than done.

How to survive London Fashion Week

It’s that time of the year again; time for the battle of the egos to be waged on the front row, time for wild predictions about what we will be wearing this year and the only time of the year when wearing your grandma’s blouse and skin tight hot pants is acceptable.

As stressful as London Fashion Week (20 – 24 February 2015) can be, I’ve devised a simple-as-pie five step plan inspired by my trip to the #LFWRetreat held at the Red Bull Studios in London.
