Having a facial can be a somewhat daunting experience.
No matter how many scented candles are lit and eye wateringly expensive products are used, surrendering your bare face and any imperfections into the hands of a stranger will always be slightly nerve-wracking.
So how about getting that same quality facial at home?
The word ‘facial’ fills me with excitement and dread in equal measure. Excitement at the prospect of a relaxing half an hour filled with light chatter, a nice face and neck massage and a fresh looking face… and dread at the prospect of leaving a salon with no make up on.
Is it just me? Anyway, vanity aside, I was invited to have a facial at the gorgeous Tresor Rare salon just off Oxford Street, and so had to get over my fears.
It’s that time of the year again; time for the battle of the egos to be waged on the front row, time for wild predictions about what we will be wearing this year and the only time of the year when wearing your grandma’s blouse and skin tight hot pants is acceptable.
As stressful as London Fashion Week (20 – 24 February 2015) can be, I’ve devised a simple-as-pie five step plan inspired by my trip to the #LFWRetreat held at the Red Bull Studios in London.
