How to write a good product review

Beauty product reviews are the bread and butter of this blog – people love reading them, and I love writing them.

Here are my top seven tips to make that review impartial, relevant and super shareable.

1. Be honest and impartial
The most important thing to remember when writing a review is that it should be your honest opinion.

Anyone can read the sales patter about a product on the company’s website – readers are coming to you because they want to know what the product is really like – does it sting when you apply it? Does it only come in shades of beige? Does it get all over your teeth when you drink coffee? Tell us.

Impartial Review: The Planets Treatment at LUSH Spa

There aren’t that many spa-related activities that I haven’t partaken in, but up until last week having a massage was one of them. Luckily a new LUSH store opened on Oxford Street to take care of all my back rubbing needs.

My first ever massage took place deep in the underbelly of the new LUSH store which boasts three floors of natural, sweet smelling goodness.

I had no idea what to expect and while I waited for my masseuse to prepare the room, I was treated to a hand massage with a strawberry soap bar on the shop floor, which was more relaxing that it sounds.
